Meadowfolk

★★★★☆ 4.1 Editor rating

Meadowfolk is comfort food. You inherit a rundown plot in a valley and slowly turn it into a working little homestead — planting crops, repairing fences, and getting to know the villagers. The loop is familiar if you've played farm sims, but it's executed with real warmth.

The standout is the characters. Each villager has a routine and a personality, and the dialogue changes with the seasons and your relationship level. I found myself planning my in-game days around who I wanted to visit. Progression is slow by design, which suits the mood.

It leans on timers more than I'd like, but you can play around them, and there's no pressure to rush. It's the game I open when I want to decompress, not conquer anything.
